Oilers Lose 5th in a Row

I'm upset that we lost our 5th in a row.

What do we need to do to get this team out of the funk? What? WHAT?

Even Wilson's Leafs have avoided a funk this bad.

I'm past making excuses for the lack of chemistry.

We need ... Emilio Estevez.

He's the answer from above - the Mighty Ducks movie has all the answers we need:

Enough said.

We should all forget blaming Hemsky, Visnovsky, Gilbert, and the goaltending. Souray is playing great. No my friends, we need ... Emilio Estevez.

The tandem of the Edmonton Oilers, Emilio Estevez, and Daryl "Batman" Katz is what we need to turn this team around.

But seriously...

What the heck? Didn't we start this goddamn season with a record of 4-0? Yeah - the talk about good luck and bad luck. But it's time to start playing as a team and the veterans need to do something to help these young guns out of the funk.

I blame it on all the talk about a sophomore slump that the media did over the summer. Bastards.

I am so sad right now - although I did say we were going to lose. I can't remember where I said, but it was somewhere on the internet. Also not going to beat Carolina. We're going to have to tighten our belts for a little while.
I still hold to my preseason predictions, that if we can get through this brutal road trip at or above .500, we'll be doing alright, and will still make a run at the playoffs, and potentially the division.

If the rumours about the locker room troubles are true, the Oilers probably also need the Breakfast Club Emilio Estevez. Lock them up in a room where they'll smoke pot, have heart to hearts, give eachother makeovers and write an essay to Katz about who they think they are. By the end of the day they'll become better friends and therefore a better a team.
Like you said, Emilio Estevez is the answer.

Breakfast Club Oilers would not just win the Stanley Cup, they would win at Life.
