Forget the Souray to San Jose Rumours
As reported per TSN, Rob Blake has resigned in San Jose. This still leaves the Souray to LA rumours in the balance, but three things must be considered:
a) does Souray want to leave Edmonton?
b) would Souray waive his NMC to go to LA?
c) does Edmonton even want to move Souray?

Ty Conklin Should Sign in Boston
I believe I heard somewhere that Boston will get the next outdoor game. Manny Fernandez is on his way out of town so... backup Conklin? He made 750K last season and should probably command around 1.2 million or 2 million max - half of what Fernandez made last season.

Yes.
b) would Souray waive his NMC to go to LA?
Yes.

Depends what for. If its Jack Johnson+Wayne Simmonds+picks, probably not.
Also, I'm assuming you're mostly joking about Conklin to Boston as they most likely ride Rask next season as the backup.

Robin Brownlee wouldn't even pretend like he had all the answers, but you seem pretty damn sure of yourself, and lacking any support evidence to boot.
In response to your concise answers:
a) You better have evidence and have something better than "Souray is selling his house," I want something concrete. The rumoured rift between Souray and Moreau is rumour, and just that, for now.
b) Do you have his list of teams? "His family is in LA," you say? That means nothing really, since he's already played 2 seasons without them and he'd have to say in the ball park of, "damn, I sure miss my family now after 2 seasons away from them." Once again, concrete only, please. Otherwise, there's still no solid indication that he'd want to go there. It's akin to waiving your NMC to go to the Florida Panthers or Phoenix Coyotes, teams with loads of young talent and promise but always produces perennial suck. LA is such a team with loads of young talent and promise but produces perennial suck. Tons of sunshine, though.
c) I heard Jack Johnson's agent demanded a contract in the 4-5 million range, which eliminates any Jack Johnson trade, in theory. But surely this must sound as rhetorical as answering this question with a trade proposal with no obvious potential.
And about Conklin, what do you think the answer is, Detective thickoil?
What do you think the odds are that Conklin would sign his next contract under such pretenses?
But let's forget Conklin's own initiatives and future plans for a second.
Let's consider for a second the possibility that perhaps Conklin isn't a legitimate option as backup and Rask is indeed, as you said, slated for the backup job in Boston.
You know what they say about goalies though, the more action they see, the better for them. That's the main reason Justin Pogge has been #1 in the AHL as opposed to #2 or #3 in Toronto: it's better for his development. The same sentiment is echoed in the development of Corey Schneider and Thomas Greiss. If you're grooming and expecting someone to be a future starter, treating them like JDD or Andrew Raycroft is not going to help them get there. It's possible, but it's not the preferred route for goaltender development, and especially since Tim Thomas is signed for the next 4 seasons. But that's just the Boston end of it.
Combined with Conklin's own initiatives, it seems unlikely that either situation would transpire. Instead, it is my opinion that Rask will stay in the AHL until Thomas is unable to play more than 50 games a season (which is unlikely to happen for a while), and Boston will acquire another veteran goaltender to play in that position.
Of course, you considered all that already, right?
It would be funny to see Conks play 4 outdoor games though.

Slow down cowboy.
My responses are purely my opinion.
a)There have been more than one report of Souray asking a trade in the last couple months, and I believe if theres smoke, theres fire.
b)Purely opinion. Do you think he would waive his NTC to LA?
c)Most likely LA's package wouldn't be enough for me. Again opinion. I would easily rather have Greene come back.
